WAVFactory
Playlist in. Label Engine-ready WAVs out, straight to your Google Drive or your computer.
Create Music Group accounts only. WAVFactory can only open Drive files it creates or folders you choose for it, never the rest of your Drive.
Turn any track list into Label Engine-ready WAVs
Start from a playlist link, a list of ISRCs or a Schedule A. WAVFactory finds each track's official audio, checks its length against the original and saves it to your Google Drive or your computer. How it works
Get the CSV template for a list you type up yourself.
- 16-bit · 44.1 kHz · Stereo WAV
- Length checked to ±1 second
- Off by more? Kept and labeled INCORRECT LENGTH

How WAVFactory works
Four steps from a playlist link to files you can deliver.
-
1
Add your tracks
Paste a Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube Music link, paste a list of ISRCs, or upload a Schedule A (contract, PDF, Word, Excel or CSV).
-
2
Check your settings
Choose where files go (Google Drive or your computer) and the format. WAV is the one Label Engine takes. Leave the equalizer off for deliveries.
-
3
Make WAVs
Each track is matched to its official audio, checked against the original length, converted and saved. Keep the tab open while it works.
-
4
Check the flags
Anything more than 1 second off is kept but named INCORRECT LENGTH. Flagged tracks.csv in the folder lists those and anything not found.
CSV template
One row per track. Title and Artist are required; Length is what files are checked against, so fill it in whenever you can. Delete the two example rows first.
| Column | What goes in it |
|---|---|
| Title | The track title as released, e.g. Block List |
| Artist | Main artist; several are fine, separated by commas |
| Album | Optional. Helps pick the right version when a single and an album cut differ |
| Length | 3:25 (minutes:seconds), or seconds (205), or milliseconds (205000) |
| ISRC | Optional, kept with the track |
Google Sheets turns 3:25 into a time (3:25:00). WAVFactory reads that as 3:25, so it's safe either way. An Exportify export of a Spotify playlist also works as is.
Questions
Where does the audio come from?
YouTube. Spotify, Apple Music and CSVs only give WAVFactory the track list: titles, artists and exact lengths. For each track it looks for the official audio on YouTube Music (the "art track" the label or distributor uploaded). If no art track is within a second of the original, it takes the closest upload of the same song, such as the music video, and notes that in the track's row.
YouTube's audio is compressed, so a WAV made from it is Label Engine-ready but not the original master. When the client can send masters, use those.
How do ISRCs and Schedule As work?
WAVFactory looks each ISRC up on Deezer, the streaming service every distributor delivers to, for the exact title, artist, album and length. A UPC brings in the whole release. The length is then checked to the millisecond against MusicBrainz or Apple Music while the file is made.
From a contract or a PDF Schedule A it reads every ISRC and UPC in the text. From a spreadsheet it reads each row: rows with an ISRC are looked up, rows with only a title and artist are used as written.
Is my contract stored or shared?
No. The file is read in memory on the WAVFactory server and thrown away. Only the ISRCs and UPCs in it are looked up (on Deezer, MusicBrainz and Apple), and nothing else from the contract leaves the server.
Some ISRCs came back "Not found".
Deezer doesn't know them: usually unreleased, or taken down from streaming. If your spreadsheet has the title and artist on the same row, WAVFactory searches YouTube by those instead. Scanned PDFs (a photo of paper) have no text, so upload the Word or Excel version.
What does INCORRECT LENGTH mean?
The file is more than 1 second longer or shorter than the original on Spotify, Apple Music or your CSV. WAVFactory still saves it, named like Artist - Title - INCORRECT LENGTH (+8.4 seconds).wav (+ is longer, − is shorter), and lists it in Flagged tracks.csv with the YouTube link it came from. Over 30 seconds off usually means a different version: listen before using it.
Why was a track "Not found"?
No upload on YouTube had the same title and artist. WAVFactory never swaps in a different song, even one by the same artist. Check the spelling (for a CSV) or whether the song is on YouTube at all.
What does "Not verified" mean?
The track had no original length to compare against (usually a CSV without a Length column), so its length couldn't be checked.
Why 16-bit / 44.1 kHz / stereo?
It's the highest quality Label Engine accepts; anything higher gets rejected. Every WAV WAVFactory makes is exactly that.
Where do my files go?
Store in Google Drive: My Drive › WAVFactory, or any folder you paste a link to (shared drives too), with one folder per playlist inside.
Store locally: in Chrome or Edge, straight into a folder you choose on your computer, again one folder per playlist. Safari and Firefox save each file to Downloads instead (allow multiple downloads if asked).
Why does Google ask me to confirm a folder?
WAVFactory can only open Drive files it created or folders you hand it, never the rest of your Drive. The first time you paste a folder, Google shows it in a picker: press Select once and it's remembered.
Can I close the tab while it works?
Tracks stop starting once the tab closes; everything already finished is saved. Open the playlist again from My runs and press Resume to finish the rest.
My Spotify playlist only loaded 100 tracks.
Spotify's public page lists the first 100. For longer playlists, export it with Exportify (exportify.app) and upload the CSV.
Should I use the equalizer?
Not for deliveries: it changes the audio. It's there for listening copies, with the same controls as the desktop app (output gain, bass, treble and "match volume between tracks").
Who can see what I make?
Your files are only in your Drive or on your computer. The Stats page shows everyone at CMG how many files each person has made and which playlists were run.
